Dear Antoinette

Gary Abrahams had a childhood friend, Antoinette, but he lost touch with her. She was the daughter of the woman who cleaned and cooked for his family in Apartheid South Africa.  In this poignant letter to Antoinette he recalls fragments of their friendship, some moments he would prefer to forget and his hopes for her life in post-Apartheid South Africa.  It’s a letter he could never deliver.
